Nor do those of us with Spinn.
I've got a big pile of cuben sitting and waiting for me to do something with it. Never seem to get around to it. I'm going to copy the WB Asym Diamond, but I'm going to put a ridgeline seam on it. I just can't drink the kool-aid on the full-length tarp ridgeline, but I do like a crisp ridge on my tarps. I figure the ridgeline seam will give me what I want without too much extra effort. Hoping to have it done by June for a quick July thru of a trail out here.
Trust nobody!
Hardware on the guy outs always seems..superfluous...when it is so simple to just tie a marlinspike hitch along the cord with the stake as the spike...
I also prefer not to have a full ridgeline cord. That being said, the only tarp I do use one with is my cuben one, and it's because of the ridge seam. I'm wary of pulling that taped seam snap-taut, and without doing so the only way to get it nicely tensioned is to put a ridge cord under it. You also might wind up reconsidering with cuben.
If I were doing it over, I'd opt for no seam on the ridge for cuben, even if it meant two side seams. JMO
