Hmm ... don't know pal ... I'll have to look ... all I remember ever seeing was either a blend or 100% poly ... I just always got the ones marked 100% poly. Dang G thread is so expensive ... this was a treat to stock up on black, green, tan and browns at well more than 50% off thanks to the bride and the coupon thingy she had ... and let me use!

I use the regular 100% poly. I sew with small needles so smaller threads work better. It seems to me that most failures occur in the fabric, not the seams. I assume you are sewing something like 1.1 ripstop nylon.

Yep - I just use the 100% polyester kind. I tried some thicker thread (upholstery thread was the only non-cotton thread MallWart had one time when I needed some), but with the thin material and small needles, it didn't work well.

    Talking

Missed the sale; simply too busy with holiday stuff. But still enjoyed reading about it and getting a chuckle telling my wife about all the guys excited about a thread sale at JoAnn's Fabrics! LOL

    It's MANLY, I say!

Had a funny moment a couple months ago...came back from shooting to clean the guns, then sat at the same table sewing and watching UFC.

When I asked the Hobby Lobby lady about the thread, she pointed to where the Coats and Clark was. I asked a few detailed questions about thread and their zippers, and she gave me this look like, "Why is this guy talking to me this way?" Just chuckled...but she's the one who gave me directions to the closest JoAnn. (And it's really JoAnn, not JoAnn's...didn't know that until now.)

When I first started sewing, it was b/c I had a need that the commercial market couldn't meet at the time...so I met my own needs. What's more manly than that?
