Put me down for Cohutta for Memorial day weekend.
The Panther Creek trip: Is that the one North of Duluth or Cohuttas? Two Panther Creeks and trails.

I've just quickly scanned through this thread and noticed terms like "NW GA Hang" and "Panther Creek". There are 2 Panther Creek Trails in Georgia that are widely known among people that hike in Georgia, they are both spectacular, and they are along ways apart. You need to make sure everyone involved is talking about the same Panther Creek.
I believe you are talking about the one with a trailhead that starts off of Old Hwy 441 in northeast Georgia because of the link in the above post and not the one that is in the Cohutta Wilderness in northwest Georgia, but I am not real sure. Which one are you talking about? If it is the one in NE GA, you might want to be real clear on that because the title of this thread says NW GA

Youngblood - It appears I made a mistake when posting that link. I did not realize that was NE of the state. Thank you for pointing that out.
With that said.. the other Panthers creek is Cohutta - seems to be more difficult & for those dates March 26-27 too many creeks & streams to cross.
I'll put up a suggestion for a location for those who want to do a hang March 26-27 in NW GA (At least we have a date
I was looking on this site..
http://www.campnpost.com/camping/johns-mountain-trail/
Not sure if we can hike just a little ways in & find a spot to hang? If not the article mentions this.. "further south on Pocket Road about a mile there are stream-side camp spots within 50 feet of the road, or backpack camping along the Pinhoti Trail."
which seems close by

Either sound good to me - Has anyone been to these locations?
I appoligize for the confusion with the Panther creek link.
here's a marker on the google map to pocket rd that is mentioned in the link above to FS rd 208
Just below that is FS rd 702 near the end of it is appears there are some streams/water
