    I'm hoping to hike in sometime over the weekend, say hello and take a look at the different set ups.

    I'm guessing there won't be enough room in the north Nebo parkng lot. Any advice on "overflow" parking?

    Someone mentioned earlier on in the thread that there was some private parking available, I cannot remember who it was or if it was for the North or South side.

    EDIT:::

    Not sure if this still stands but here it is....

    We have permission to park within 1/2 mile from the Hill...Please keep in mind, it is ALL up hill from the parking place, ( all down hill going home ). To park there all we need is our name, and the words HAMMOCK FORUMS on a paper on the dash. this will keep the cars/trucks from getting towed. this area is fenced and private. I also need to know who will be parking there prior to doing so. I will shoot him an e-mail to tell him who the people are.....

    Also, if you need my help in organizing the raffle...I would be willing to help out.

    It will be good to meet more of you....

    I don't think it is set up this year, is it????? I don't think it will be necessary anyway. it's ok to park along the road if the lot is full AS LONG as everyone parks on ONE SIDE of the road only, according to the Sheriff.
    Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.

    Not sure, the quote I added from JerrytheHiker was from this thread (page 2) but was posted in December, so I haven't the faintest idea if it is still in play or not.

    With as many people who are already parking in alternate locations and those who are carpooling there really should not be any major issue with parking. Last year the list was much bigger than this year and there was plenty of parking spaces. That is assuming no other large group is planning a camping trip for the same trail head on the same day.

    I parked somewhere else down the trail. I found it on Google Earth by zooming in. There were several pull-offs along the road. You could easily park half dozen cars around the area. Then hiked to the hang. It was where Berry Ridge Rd runs along side the trail. http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/hoosier/recr...nebo_ridge.pdf It was a nice hike in.

    I've been out of the loop for a long time now. If it wasn't for Mule asking if I was going to make it, I'd have missed out on the fun completely. Unfortunately I will be unable to make it this year. I have a trip I will be on that weekend. It was a real pleasure meeting everyone last year, and I wish I could hang with you again this year.

    I hope everyone has a great time!
