    It seems the general concensus is to go with cotton. I'm gonna head up to my local fabric store today and nose around. I'll let ya'll know what I find.

    I'd also say cotton is the way to go if you're sleeping in the same room.

    Is she camping out with you too? Would be a shame to go without lightweight synthetic fabrics... I'd leave the cotton at home and 'd prescribe some earplugs for your wife as already suggested.

    If you want quiet, you want natural fiber. Cotton is great or wool (for those brisk nights).

    As to ghillie suits - they are about making you tough to see not tough to hear.
