IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
Why is this bad news for sleeping baggers? (unless you mean makers rather than users?

Anyone notice that the only sleeping bag manufacturer raising a stink about this is the one that makes the worst quality bags? You don't see companies like Feathered Friends or Western Mountaineering complaining.
No more DDB
(Disney Dumbo Bag)
+ Warbonnet
+ Weapons
+ Wilderness Press
Losing a bottom end manufacturer may not matter to us, per se. But in the end, we need to try to keep some people employed in just these sort of positions. Not everyone can be a cubicle dweller or a licensed tradesperson.
I would support any effort to keep this company alive, even if it only sells Disney bags to pre-teens.

I just can't get over the potential loss of Hello Kitty!
I prefer sleeping bags for very cold weather, and quilts for less-cold weather, yet I don't see competition in the "so-cheap-you-can-buy-it-from-a-vending-machine" sleeping bag space really affecting me.
My best bag is already an import, but from Japan - ever heard of a little company called Mont Bell? For almost all of my gear, I have gotten to the point where purchase decisions are based on the quality of the gear, and the value at which I can obtain that quality - competition for walmart POS eight-pound sleeping bags doesn't really affect me.
As long as we don't lose the company that produces this, I'll be fine....
