Hey DocBurN,
I remember a post for DIY "netted hammock"...

So, now just get some paracord or fire retardant rope and weave your own.
Let us know how it works out for you.
-Are you doing a 5lbs. survival trip in Canadian winter?
-What kind of temps are you anticipating with your "survival trip"?
This time, we will wait till its warmer.. we went in february 2010 at -11 celcius.. this time, we will wait till its around 0 celcius and more..
but still.. even in a warm summer, i would like to lay in something comfortable near the fire at night as long as it fit in the 5lbs max limit and I dont have to remove something vital like my knife to take the hammock
I totally agree.
It's a short-lived product idea.
