    Portable indoor hammock stand

At home I sleep in my hammock about 80-90% of the time. However I travel for work a lot and hate sleeping in hotel beds. Does anyone know of a hammock stand that can be setup indoors but is also easy to travel with? Bonus if it is small eno nough that it could fit in a suitcase.

Edit to add: must hold an 11 foot hammock.

YOBO stands and Tensa Solo/Trekking Treez come to mind.

I need something that could be setup indoors, in a hotel room. Both of those require a stake into the ground.

You can omit the stake philosophy and secure a tie down to a door/ closet framework or hook onto the hinge of the bathroom door. You still are “guying” out the stand but using a different technique.
Webbing passed thru gap on the door edges and locked in to prevent slippage by using a large toggle.
Hook under leg of bed frame may provide enough counterweight? Depending on your weight?

Most hotel room layouts offer little floor space. You’ll probably need to rearrange bed/table dresser etc to give you the sprawl you need for a stand to work. Replace furniture to it original location, in the AM.

Yeah, I think the Tensa is your goto here. Can the solo/treez be setup without having multiple well spaced guylines on a lower-friction surface?

YOBO stands, such as the Cricket, don’t require stakes. It’s self-standing. The YOBO Hive will be bigger, but also stand alone.

I'd suggest looking for one like I use every day. Comes apart in segments. This spring I added wheel are my to roll it into position, albeit I scooted it across the floor for several years. The original stand doesn't have the cross bar across the top. I added it to increase the rigidity for some of my hammocks, e.g. Chameleons which sag lower. I've seen these on line somewhere, perhaps Amazon. I paid $5 at a local building materials recycling place. The newer, or Amazon versions that I've seen, now have a small brace across the bottom to the uprights that add less flex. Anyway, I love it and it doesn't have any many moving parts or as complicated to set up as some of the other options.

Tensa4? You'd need to anchor the foot end by tying to (as other have suggested) a door hinge or possibly a bed leg if it isn't a platform bed. There were some pictures in the tensahedron thread of people using them in hotel rooms, and they have one on their website:

Okay, the turtlebug does look really really neat... I am interested in how easy it is to remove segments. Could definitely see using one of these at an event where I want to sleep at night and use it as a chair during the day.
