I like Speer's tarp line and bought some Mason's line to see how well it works. It's works fine, but Speers is more ridged and doesn't tangle as easily. I tried to put some silicone on it to see if it would have the same result. All it did is make it more slippery. Than I tried Coglan's seam sealer

and it worked quite well. It almost seems like Speer's line and it isn't slippery at all. I just strung up a piece and put some on my fingers while I pinched and moved my fingers along the line. I don't no how long it will last but it seem like it will work. Even if it does wear off it is so cheap you can do it again and again. I read in a post that Ed was either not going to sell the line anymore or only in large quanities. Someone can probaly clearify that. In any case this is cheap and readily accessable.
