    Upside-Down NeoAir

Any idea if the NeoAir will work just as well if I flip it upside down? I've tried to find which side is the reflective side but couldn't find it on the web.

When it's right side up the valve is burried under the double layer on the BB so I have a hard time adjusting it.

I thought both sides were reflective.

I believe the reflective surfaces are on inside surfaces of the pad.

The reflective surfaces are internal to the chambers and run like a zigzag from head to foot if seen from the side. I think the question was if the reflective side of that zigzag points to the top side of the pad (yellow side) or the bottom side (gray). I think it's on both, so it doesn't really matter which side you lay on.

Thanks, I'll try both ways and see if I can tell a difference.

Did you find out? I'd really like to know. I planned on trying it out in the spring. Also, did you try it with out inflating at all?

I couldn't tell any difference whatever side was up. I did have it inflated maybe 1/2 or less but like that my butt was forcing the air to the outer edges and there wasn't as much insulation value left in the centre. Went with a bridge hammock with UQ's and no pad needed to flatten the lay a bit and I'm happier.

Thanks Danalex. I actually used my neoair inside the hammock this summer. Lots of acrobatic moving about while I was inside. I now have the HH Under Cover. Come spring I'll lay the sticky the side down. I think I should do well in the summer evenings.
