Greetings - I wanted to introduce myself and say hi. Live up in the Pacific Northwest and am an avid outdoorsman. Looking to evolve from a ground dweller into a tree hanger, just seems to be the next logical step.

Currently I don't have a hammock, but looking to pick one up that provides good rain coverage and sufficient warmth to hang in cooler fall temps (30's). This fall on a 7 day backcountry outing with tent and lots of tarps, got flooded out on Day 3. Tarps kept the rain off, but ground turned into lakes and rivers. I can't wait to go out in the backyard with a new setup and get hooked.

Hello and welcome from another Pacific Northwester! There are a lot of good people here to help you out in your search.

If you are interested, we have a bunch of people gathering for a "hang" near Ellensburg on the 8th and 9th of January. It would be a great time check out the different kind of hammocks and see a bunch of different other gear.

Lots of tarps available that will work.

I have found that the Warbonnet Super Fly will shed anything a Pineapple Express can throw at it.

Thanks for the warm welcome. If I can pickup a nice hammock soon, may try to get out to the winter hang.

The debate over WarBonnett or Clarks NA/NX is raging in my mind. Just need to get one and forget it, probably can't go wrong with either. That SuperFly is SuperFly and that would be a great match for either hammock.

I have both a CJH NX-200 and a Blackbird DL 1.7 hammocks and love them both. I lean more towards the BB these days becasue I have found it to be a little bit more comfortable than the NX. IMHO you cannot go wrong with either of these hammocks. Look in the For Sale forum you will find several CJH NA's for sale right now.
