Cabelas has a sale on Helly Hansen Hamm jackets. I bought two when they were on sale for $70 and was very pleased. They are now on sale for $40 marked down from $150. Waterproof and warm!

Keep an eye on Steep and Cheap for the next few weeks. This time of year usually brings good pickins on that site and vests are often in the mix. Download their little 'bug' that will put a notification bar at the bottom of your browser and you'll be able to max out your credit cards in no time flat.

thank you for the input cannibal i im keeping a eye out. and how much does that Helly Hansen Hamm jacket weight? im trying to find something very light and water proof
probly with some insultexs in it. what is the overall favorite on hammock forums

You probably won't find a light Insultex jacket. Most of those are heavy and made for ice fishing and double as a flotation device.
