I used to hike with a Leatherman tool, but swapped it for a Mora knife because it was too heavy. I also carry a Leatherman Micra for one reason: the scissors.
From what you tell us about yourself, I'd say that you fit right in, and you'll like it here. Thank goodness for the scissors thing - it makes you distinctive!
Welcome to HF from Bama.........good luck in your search for a hammock system that fits you. I recommend that you go to a group hang and see and tryout, we love to show off, all of the different rigs and combinations of gear that are available........it greatly save on wallet deflation and bank account shrinkage!!!!!!!!!
