New Twist on a peak bag?

Here is my version of the slit style peak bag. I put a no seeum bottom in so that I could see if there was something small in the bottom and I whipped the top with the warbonnet nob and left a loop for hanging. In the picture thing are things sticking out of the slit but that is only so you could see were it is. You could stuff lots in this thing and the slit still closes.

I'm going to make a netted version for the head and a silnylon, seamed sealed one for the foot, for my shoes!

Miles I just wasn't sure i liked the vertical slit until I saw yours. So simple and functional. I think yours is the best variation on this bag yet. So much creativity on this site it is awesome.

The original idea reminds me of one of these bags, used for storing onions, garlic, or potatoes (they used to have a larger version). I thought it was a great idea for that purpose, and equally well adapted for this.

Man these things remind me of a witches hat with a winter mod on it to avoid the strong wind on her warts. But seriously they look great. I think it would be a good place for me to put a few items. The DIY bug is defiantly biting.

I started with a 7 inch circle. I also reinforced the sewn edge of the circle to sidewalls with 7/8" grosgain folded over to give it lots of strength.
