A few months ago I made a pack cover but turned out too large for my pack.
So I gave it another try today. The material is this stuff from ebay. Shock cord used thru the channels
I'm still debating on putting small tabs on the corners to make it easy to tighten to the pack or use as a gear hammock.
Overall I'm very pleased -- it sits on the pack really well.

Great job! I'd definitely recommend the tabs if you plan to use it as a gear hammock or anything else. I even like the tabs so I can clip it to my pack in windy weather. Sometimes pack covers can fly off on exposed ridgelines and such.

So they're loops? I guess they'd have to be to clip them to something... sorry to be so dense this morning.

Yes, Loops = tabs
The cover stays on fine without them but since I want to use it as a gear hammock as well - it gives me the option to secure to pack if/when needed

Yes, the coffee helps. My wife also explained that tabs=loops, so I'm good to go now.
