best hammock socks or DIY socks

need a little help - throw it all out there and tell me your opinions about hammock socks. have you made one yourself, if so post me some pics and give some details. which OEM has or makes the best hammock socks. after reading about Jeff's out door -7F adventure it just might be another piece of gear i must add to my collection.

Thinking real hard about one of these to go with my Traveler. It will be used with a full length UQ. I know this isn't a "sock" but I will most likely go with a BBO for the WBBB.

I sold my BBO & WBBB together since they were both right zip/left footbox, but I can tell you that the BBO was a very fine piece of gear. Really nice fit on the BB. Seems like most folks who use them really love them.

For those wanting a less expensive alternative, I just finished up an uncoated sock and added it to my site.

CamoSock
1.1 oz. Woodland Camo ripstop nylon
uncoated, very breathable, probably not very windproof
105" x 45"
Weighs 6.10 oz.
Stuff sack included

I'm thinking of building a few socks out of 1.1 or 1.9oz. nylon/polyester.
If there is sufficient interest, I'll add more of these on my site.

I haven't made one yet but it is on my To-Do list. I was planning to make just a bottom sock using one layer of IX and one layer of breathable nylon with DWR on the outside of it.

I'll be watching for what others have to say.

i'm curious to know if anyone has any patterns before i go off and scrap some material trying to figure it out. i can use some heavy plastic sheeting first like i did on an UQ.

Here is a cutting diagram and pattern for a BugSock using 54" wide material. It is essentialy the same pattern you'd use with a WinterSock.

A 60" to 64" wide material would give you a little more "wiggle room".

can you help me understand this? i'm not seeing how the two pictures relate. i see 115+32.5+32.5 so i'm thinking the length on the plan view is 180" or so. on the side view is only shows 115,
