    My 9'x12' Tyvek Tarp

I decided to go with grommets because my sewing on the scrap didn't seem to hold up as well. The cat cuts seemed to do their job for the most part today. I'm a bit nervous that when it softens up it will have some flap in it from where the folded corners of the cat cut are but other than that I am pleased.

Well done sir! Look'n mighty fine. Keep us posted on how she weathers. I'm a big fan of tyvek. I do wish Dupont was not so compelled to tell the world that they made it though.

P.S. What part of MI are you from?
    Good luck,

Looks great! I'd love to know how much it weighs. I think I'm ready to dump my wally world poly tarp without dumping my bank account at the same time.

I don't have a proper scale or I would have weighed it myself. Something I am going to have to invest in, but would rather spend my money on gear.

UPDATE: Tarp not suited for high winds. Had grommet failure with 27 mph winds as reported by weather underground. Had the grommet pull right out of the tarp. Also had tyvek tape peal from the surface of the tarp. Going to try to repair and use only in controlled low wind conditions.

make a tyvek envelope for it and take it to the post office to mail. they will weigh it for you.
    but a washed (6times) one sq. ft. weights 0.21 oz. (3'-3' @ 1.89 oz.)
i'm guessing 25 oz. with tieouts, glue and grommets with corners cut off.
