First trip used a pad, not a normal pad, a rollup yoga mat. It worked but was a pain to get set right when going to bed. I toss and turn when I first go to sleep until I hit "the zone" then I don't move all night, with the pad I would wake up with cold spots because of moving the pad. It got so bad I put the pad IN my sleeping bag so it wouldn't move around as much.

2nd trip used a underquilt, much warmer and easy to setup and sleep with.

No, it is another userid Neo created to troll with, and also deceptively attack himself with then watch people come to his defense. I guess the joke is on us. My only question is why only the one userid was banned.

That's not humor, neo, it's deception. And it can be quite disruptive. With your history of destructive behaviour and misuse, I've no idea why you aren't sanctioned in some way. It was one thing for everyone to accept your apology for post-deletions, but now to come along and troll...

There's enough light-hearted interaction here without resorting to troll-tactics. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I think you are being disrespectful to your fellow forum-members.

FTR, my base weight for summer are routinely in the 8-9 pound range (can get below 7 lbs, but I love taking waldies, and a couple of other extra comfort items).... three season base is 10-11 lbs easy.... and winter, prepared for single digits to zero, even with three quilts is 13 pounds and a three day trip, incl food, water and fuel travels in an 1800 cu in GG Miniposa.

Can't weight for the winter Hang at Mt Rogers.... maybe we sould bring a scale and weigh everyone in on arrival....

Just ordered the Gossamer Gear Mariposa Plus pack. Cant wait. While it is heavier than my Fanatic Fringe pack which is 10.5 oz. It has more volume and outside straps for my pads. http://www.gossamergear.com/cgi-bin/...posa-Plus.html
