    Zip on a Hennessy?

I got a HH Expedition (wanted an Explorer but got this ), slightly used, quite cheap and want to modify it.
The velcro entrance is killing my merino underwear and so I want to fit a two-way zip around one side from end to end.
    Has anyone ever tried this?
All hints and comments are welcome.

Look in Jazilla's gallery. He did that to his HH.

sounds like the zipper arrangement of the original (2000) Safari Deluxe - zipper with a cord attached that loops through a couple rings - one ring up toward the end of the hammock and one ring near the right side - pull one side of the loop and the zipper unzips - pull the other side of the loop and the zipper zips up - I did not particularly like the arrangement but it did work - the part I did not like was that sometimes my feet got tangled in the cord and sometimes I could not tell that I was pulling the wrong side of the loop.

opps on second reading you are talking about a zippered bug net and not a zippered entrance slot - please disregard the above drivel

Just loose the velcro.... no zipper is needed.... originals did not have velcro and the HHAR still does not have velcro.... ones body weight keepd the slit closed.... the velcro is there to keep it bug free immediately after set up and before you use it .... tossing you clothing bag or a water bottle/bag in will be enough weigh to keep it closed until you are ready to use it.
