I'm not sure how you can put a percentage to that kind of question?

I get out atleast once a month, but more like twice a month. Not been out in the last 6 weeks tho due to knee injury, but I am planning a 96 mile 1 week hike mid January.

I plan for 2 weekends a month. 2010 made it most of the time, you got to mow grass once in a while. So I'm told...

During 3 season I get out at least twice a month or more. Winter time probably only a couple times for the season as I'm still new to camping in the real COLD.

I work weekends and have the rest of the week off. I go out at least 3 or 4 days every week.

I usually go about once every other month. In 2010 I set a goal to do at least a night a month. Just completed that goal thursday night. I have a five year old who is now ready to go with me. I will be doing alot more soon! I did at least 20 nights in the woods this year.

I was getting out once a week for at least an overnighter, but the holidays and 3 pair of crutches around the house have put a hault to that. I plan on picking up where I left off in the next month or so. Shift work does have its advantages, sometimes. Having 3-4 day weekends every week gives me a lot of time up the hill.

I think the morel to the story is unless someone blesses us with all the money and free time we need none of us will spend as much time out as we'd like.

That sounds great! That's very similar to my aim in life - to find myself able to sustain a simple life off of a two/three day work week, which'd allow me to spend moe time doing what I love to do. I can't see the sanity in working five out of seven days to maintain what I have because it gives me no time to enjoy it! You can bet me as soon as I get to that point I'll be doing the same as you and getting out every single dang week

I do live very simply and I'm a bachelor with no children so sacrifices have been made. I also have a difficult, stressful job that I work 12-16 hour days on the days I work, but it is so nice to have so much free time to do what I love. I also get 2 12 day vacations a year!
