I kept the seams off of the hammock body by making it a two-layer...the bottom layer had the seams and the top layer didn't. But when I laid in it, the layers had a small gap between them near the long edges...which left cold spots near the shoulders and hips. So I cut that quilt down into the partial UQ prototype, and it's no longer a hammock...so I don't plan on bringing it!

But I have a plan for an insulated hammock like that where you can put baffles in and still not have to lay on seams on the hammock body. There will still be the rectangle...can't really get around that if you want to save the weight of the insulation's inner shell. We can talk about it at the hang.
