My spring break starts that weekend, so I may try to make it! I love the Buffalo, will bring my canoe

Does somebody have a list of things needed? I can bring a camp stove with griddle top. Have an EZ-Up and a dining fly. Also have a fire pit and plenty o' fire wood.

Wood is always good... If it looks like rain, may want to bring the rest...

we have a cabin 1/2 mi N of gilbert ARK, (the only town on the Buffalo, town pop 34, except when we are there it is 36)We usually spend May at the cabin. The whole river is a great unspoiled natural wonder. Sorry we won't be there for the March bash. We have a canoe too. I will be thinking of you. I often pack from Gilbert to the old bridge and camp there (down river) or up river to where rt 65 crosses the B. it is called Grinders Ferry. Good put in spot and camping area and swimming hole!The trails are slowly being developed and one day will be conitnous. gnome

I moved from maybe to definitely. We'll bring an EZ-up as well as boats. Any idea of average water level this time of year? Trying to decide which boat to bring.

Depends upon the amount of rainfall. March is usually very wet so water levels should be good.

Tyler Bend is the hdqtrs for The Buffalo national River.( some 10 or so mi N of Marshal ARK) 877-444-6777- I am sure they can answer questions about water level, trails, access etc. Tyler bend is also a good camp sight and put in point. gnome
