New guy from Tampa fl

Hey everyone. I am just now becoming VERY interested in hammock hiking and I have yet to purchase any hammock gear. I'm a college student and I do hiking trips every year. I'm 22 and I'll be joining the military upon graduation. Just trying to gain some useful knowledge. Thanks guys!!

We are having a group hang in Ocala National Forest the weekend of Jan 21
There are about 30 members planning to attend, several from the Tampa area.
It's a great way to share knowledge and new ideas.

Welcome to HF...good luck to you on you college and military careers...you don't have to have a hammock to attend a hang...most of us have multible hammocks and would be more then happy to let you test one out...its the best way to find out which hammock works for you...it sounds like there will be quite a few hangers there and if you just hope over to the thread below I am sure you will find someone attending that will Elevate Your Prerspective.
