Over/under/ none? What is the general consensus here? I would imagine the most popular would be a ridgeline and under.
Will there be extra wear if I just tie out from the ends with no ridge line?

I like the CRL Over with snake skins and attached prussic knots attached. I tried all three and foubf I like this one the bes find it a very easy setup
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
It depends on what material.
If it's a cuben tarp with a taped ridge seam, it's a good idea to use a full ridge line. But for Sil and Spinn, I prefer to just tie out from the ends.

I prefer a CRL over the top with prusics at either end
My Big Mamajamba is attached with soft shackle prussics to a single line tarp ridge line. The tarp is rigged under the ridge line. Rigging your tarp like this allows for a nice curve in the top of the tarp that follows the banana curve of the hammock. The tarp is stored in snake skins in a stuff sack.
My The Edge is attached with soft shackle prussics to a 2 line tarp ridge line. This is my go light tarp and it is stored in a stuff sack.

Continuous ridge line under both my tarps. Both tarps attached to ridge line with #1 SS S-biners to klemhiest loops on the ridge line.

CRL over tarp with prussics on each end, attached with either a stick for a toggle or a small biner, and snake skins. I sometimes run a separate loose line under the tarp for hanging items.
Angrysparrow, is there any reason why you prefer over with taped cuben ridge seams?
I have a Kelty 9, and I just installed a CRL using dynaglide. It goes under the tarp and attaches to the tarp via prussics attached to the ridge ties with a double fisherman's knot.
