i made my mom a Christmas gift this afternoon. it's a lap quilt for when she's sitting in the recliner.
it's also a lot like the half quilt that was being talked about on another thread recently.
i had picked up some white 1.1 oz ripstop at w-mart a while back but regretted it later because if i use any thing white, it aint white for long<g>.
but this was a good use for it.
i used a cheap, thin, synthetic quilt batting i had got a while back.
i didn't keep up w/ the time but i probably worked on it about three hours.
it's about 1/4" thick, 60" long, 48" wide & weighs 11.4 ozs.
i may make one similar to use in the warmer times.
