Australia: bayswater spotlight selling out of ripstop

Went to Spotlight in Bayswater VIC today, they're apparently not going to sell ripstop any more, no idea if this is Nation-wide, got mine for 2$ AUD a metre.

Going to see if I can write to someone and complain...

yeah it would be a bummer, Even though its a tad on the heavy side its perfect for so much. 2 Bucks a meter is a good score though!

Ahh so that explains a few things.

I picked up 4 meters of black ripstop over the break for a DIY hammock and some stuff sacks, $3/M from Rutherford Spotlight.

Now I know why it's on sale. Might have to get some more while it's available.

Does anyone know the weight of this ripstop, ie; 1.7 or 1.9 etc ???

Just been to spotlight at burleigh heads. On sale at $3/metre.So it must be a nation wide thing. Picked up 6 metres of the darker blue, because I mistook 3 - 4 yards on the DIY gathered end hammock thread as 4 - 6 metres for some reason. At least I can make some stuff sacks, or maybe try a double layer hammock, or make 2 hammocks. Should pick up some more while it lasts.

I'm not sure if its 1.9 oz or what weight it is. I'm assuming it would all be the same weight throughout the stores Aus wide.
