I don't get it. Heavier. Lower R value. More puncture resistant? Has this been a major issue for NA users? Is there some other draw I am not seeing? I've heard some report the crinkle sound, but is it enough to keep one from sleep? Just askin' as I've never laid on one.

Supposedly there is a All Season NeoAir coming in July2011 with a higher R value. Here's a shameless repost: http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-...=355406#355406

    The short is 47".

I thought it was a bit too thick to use as a leg pad...put pressure on my lower back. Sure was warm, though.

The R Value is listed at 2 on their website, I didn't think 4.9 sounded right for an air mattress.
Anyway the Ridge Rest Solite beats the neo in every way except packing space. The new Solite is also 25" wide, lighter weighs 19 ounces, a more reasonable thickness 5/8", warmer at R 2.8, can be trimmed, can't leak, cheaper. It just has to go on the outside of the pack.

Ughhh. The crinkling. Yes it is absolutely as annoying as described. It never kept me awake and it's a dream to lay on, but the noise is irritating. I once went on a trip where I got nicknamed "Russell" for rustling around so much on that pad. They thought they were clever punsters.

Crinkle is annoying, comfort is heavenly (well as heavenly as sleeping on the ground can be).
