Hello woodsmen
Thought it would be enjoyable to share some of the fantastic locations the little region of Catalonia in Spain - many of the photos taken were before my hammocking days, but have I seen many incredible places for hanging! Check out the one where I hung just before a cliff over looking the sea - the white background is the Spanish sun reflecting off the water.
In the one with Catalans sitting around eating and drinking, I am the Scottish person on the far left. That is wine they are drinking at 8am by the by.
There are a total of 5 locations here. Check out the winter flowers in one of them, yes, flowers seem to grow all year round here!
Some drawbacks about hanging around here: not much fresh water to be found naturally and very thick and spiky undergrowth in many places.
Freshwater problem is compensated by the fact that it is easy to find a water fountain which are placed everywhere. The undergrowth also has it's advantages as it deters the pesky destructive hikers from getting at some great spots!
Many times in fact, I have ventured into the undergrowth to find old abandoned trails, or even networks of boar and fox trails ready for use!
Enjoy,
