    production engineer

I'm an ordained minister that is a production engineer at a large church here in the upstate of South Carolina. I work mostly with sound, but get to dabble in projects with video and lights as well. Don't get outdoors for much more than driving, but we did build a stage set a few months back with a ton of bamboo, so I spent a couple of days harvesting that. One of the guys I work with is a hanger, so we hang in nice weather for lunch pretty often.

I looked into taking the Ranger civil service exam... then I found out that the average salary of a state ranger is $24K That is mighty sad when they are 4 times more likely to be killed in the line of duty than a police officer! If I was single with no kids, I actually would have thought about it even with the low pay.

In college right now for Wildlife Biology. Got 3 semesters left then I am in the real world. I hope I can nail a job where I am outside. My goal is to work in conservation or land surveying and hopefully make enough money to support myself, and eventually wife and kids *bites nails*
