Setting Up/Taking Down Clark in Pouring Rain

Does anyone have any tips for setting up/taking down the Clark when it's raining (fairly hard)? I've spent over 25 nights in my Tropical the past couple of years and have been fortunate to avoid these conditions but I know the time will come and have yet to devise in my mind how I can get the hammock up (and down) without drenching the interior.

    Thanks.

I don't even bother to attach my Clark tarp at all anymore. I hang my XL fly first, then my Clark.

I don't attach my tarp to the hammock nor do I store the tarp with the hammock...that way, it's easy to set the tarp up first...plus, I don't want to have a wet tarp with a dry hammock in my pack...

    set up

I keep the XL fly unattached from the Clark NA hammock. I putt the fly in a separate ditty bag but stuff it into the same sack as the hammock. My storage set up is as follows: Waterproof stuff sack with small hole in bottom for the foot suspension (Bishop Bag style), suspension straps next, and last the XL rainfly in ditty bag goes into the Bishops bag near the opening.

So setup goes like this: pull out fly and hang, next pull out suspension straps and tie around trees, and last (under fly cover) attach foot end of bishop bag to suspension and pull hammock out and attach head end to suspension.

I have replaced the ropes on the Clark NA with short polypro webbing/carabiners. I use Speer polypro webbing for suspension/tree hugger with decending ring buckles on head end.
