    Animated Knots by Grog

I just found this web site. It is pretty good at showing how to tie knots. I also just added it to our links section. http://www.animatedknots.com/

    That's an awesome site!

Question: They mention three types of whipping...the Sailmakers, Sailors and the West Country. Are any of those suitable for whipping a home made hammock?

The West Country and Sailor's whippings will work. The Sailmaker's has to pass through the middle of the rope, so you'd have to put a hole in the hammock...not good.

    Here's the one I use.

    Welcome to the forum.

Hmmm tieing knots while taking care of business. That is an interesting mental pic.

LOL I wasn't going to try to picture that - but thanks for the heads up!
