gonna try a hang at my station

gonna try to hook my eno dbl. up between the bunkbeds. tried it the other night but didn't have my suspension with me (read as: i haven't bought webbing yet). i was just going to try hook the biner to the rope on the end, by wrapping it around the bar on the bed. but it didn't work and i was afraid i might accidently snag the material and rip it. so now that i have bought some webbing and lighter better biners from the cumerland transit i will attempt again tomorrow evening and i will post pix. i do have a question though. could i wrap the webbing aroung the bar on the end of the bed and then tie a marlin spike and and use my biner as the toggle and would it slip out or should i just wrap around the bar, tie loop, and hook in?

I'll let someone who has done more w/ the type suspension you have answer that question, but I have to wonder about that bunk bed. You know, a person puts an awful lot of force on what they hang their hammock from.
Not saying it wont be OK... just hoping you'll be cautious
I too will something make and joy in it's making

well i tried to hang at my station and it didn't work. i tied a big knot in one end of my webbing and hung it through the top hinge on the door and that held pretty well, but hooking up to the bunkbed didn't work. it was not quite heavy enough not to pull away from the wall. if the boss would let me put a hook in the cinderblock wall then i think it would work. oh well.

nope. not a typical ambulance station. there are about 20 ambulances in the bay. once all the trucks are in the bay there is barely walking room between all of them. and its not conducive to productive sleep. the mechanic stays till about 2300 and then the supply guy comes in about 0430 to start up and pull the trucks outta the bay. i think i'm going to build a stand and find a place to set it up.

I understand all that my one station I am at now houses 2 trucks and the other 4 plus rehab trailer and wheel chair van . No trees at either station either : (

I'm in the same spot. Nowhere to hang in bays, only trees are out front and are about 60' apart. Someone recommended hanging between trucks but I haven't tried it yet.

Hang under the top bunk, caddy-cornered. I have hung my sons hammock like that and its comfortable enough to sleep all night long. Run the suspension up to the top and tie off on opposite corners. Sort of a"Z" shape with the long leg being the hammock and the short legs being the suspension.
