Hello! My real name is Elise, I'm a college music theory and french horn teacher, and "cor" is the Italian abbreviation for "horn" that you would see in most orchestral scores -- yup, I'm also a music nerd! Most importantly, I'm also bonsaihiker's (Scott's) wife. I've been reading over his shoulder since he joined the forum, and have to say that you are all really amazingly talented and interesting people! And then there's Shug...... yup, the kids and I are fans.

Anyway, Scott is off at the Mt. Rogers hang this weekend, and I thought I'd go ahead and join so as to be able to check in and see how things are going -- sort of a friendly "stalker!"

Welcome. And glad to have you here keeping check on Scott while he's out on this winter adventure.
Actually, the drive getting to & from your destination is normally (IMO) the most risky part of a camping trip... even in the summer
He's a skilled outdoorsman & he be in good company. We'll be watching out for each other.
