Her snowshoes worked very well, thank you!

She should have used toe warmers on Sunday morning. Her boots froze Saturday night. They did not freeze on Friday night for some reason. I did not think to suggest that she put toe warmers in the boots overnight. Anyway, we just packed up and left on Sunday.

Ahh sounds like she made the same mistake I made on Roan. My boots froze too & I had really cold feet hiking out that day. That's why I bought a huge bundle of those toe warmers! I hope to get my snowshoes out this weekend!
Looks like you guys had a great hang up there on my old stomping grounds. I really enjoyed your video and all the pics!
I had an adventurous trip to Florida that same weekend I might say...I finally got my trip report done. Post #158 http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...=27573&page=16

    Frozen Boots

It may help to keep boots from freezing up if you take a newspaper, sheet by sheet, and wad each sheet up and shove it down into the boot. The newspaper will absorb most of the moisture.
