Trust me, With the Turn-Out we experienced at the First Annual Florida Hang, I have no doubt there WILL BE a Second Annual, and a Third Annual, etc.

Lol--of course you can! It would only be if it fails to happen again that the "annual" designation becomes a problem. In that case, it would been demonstrated to not be annual. But, as the planning is going on now, and since after all, any claim for an event to be "annual" is based essentially on the a prori assumption of future occurrences of the event, combined with a demonstrated track recorded of occurrence within the designated past years, any claim to an event's being annual is essentially resting on the unknown--the assumption that an event will occur again, this event has every right to be called annual. An event that took place in every one of its designated years, but for some reason stopped at a given time, would have to have been called annual between X and Y years but now longer annual. Its claim to being annual rests on its achieving its schedule within its time frame, but it loses the claim when it fails on its schedule. Viewed this way, there is no basis to claim any event is annual--only that is has occurred annually as designated, and that there is an assumption that it will occur again as it has in the past. Take New Years for example. It has occurred in the past, and we all assume it will happen again. However, we have no actual knowledge that it will indeed occur--only the faith that it will. Yet we assume it will and on that assumption, combined with past performance, we attach the attribute "annual."

Now as regarding this event. It has occurred so far like clockwork on each of its designated dates--in short, a perfect track record of occurrence. Second, the planning is in place to ensure that it will occur again--and, as with any event we call annual, while we are not certain about the future, the trend it to grant to assumption that it will and thus attach the moniker "annual." Judged by these common standards, the Annual Florida Hang has the same right to be called "annual" as does any other event or occasion with a demonstrated track record of occurrence and the promise of future occurrence.
