Just wrapped up a phenomenal first time event with approximately 50 participants. I think it is safe to say that Ocala National Forest was the epicenter of Dutch Oven cooking this weekend! An unimaginable variety of food was produced from them including breakfasts, dinners and deserts. All results were marvelous thanks to the selfless work of many. It would be impossible to pick a favorite meal, but Terri is definitely the Gumbo Goddess
Quite the array of hanging equipment was on display, both bought and DIY. Many ideas changed hands (or minds). And most importantly, the camaraderie was most enjoyable and lasted late around the campfire, until the last dutch oven was empty
All declared it a raging success and requested a 2nd Annual Florida Hang ... next week!
Many pictures will soon appear in this thread, including a few strange ones
Temperatures got down to the mid 20's Saturday night with frost on the ground Sunday morning - a rare site in sunny Florida.
