Question Can I bribe someone in SoCal to help me with Whoopie Slings?

Ok, I have completely confused my self with the fixed eye loop. I have been reading through the instructions, looking at photos, and searching through Google, and for some reason mine look nothing like any of it. So here is the bribe. I propose that if someone will help me make my first set, I will buy coffee (or a beer) and supply them with enough 7/64 amsteel to to make a set of there own (I bought 200' from work and still have about 180') I work in LA near the farmers market, and live in Upland driving the 134 / 210. If you are near any of these areas and able to help let me know.

I thought about buying one to copy, but I don't think I will be able to see what I need. I understand the adjustable side of the sling, Locked Brummell Splice for the fixed end that I am having issues with.

The fixed eye is just like the adjustable loop - you just don't leave any tail to pull sticking out, and you sew the buried end in place.

I trimmed long enough bits off to form the taper that I could use the cut strands for the sewing in place stitches- seemed the strongest way...but I have not yet tried the Locked Brummell, just the eye loop...KM(who would really like to help)

I like the video linked above. Not hard to see whats going on when they're putting an eye on an inch thick rope.

ok, I just looked at the link http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...hlight=brummel It looks incredibly simple now. I will try it as soon as I get home and see how it goes. Thanks again for the help, guess I will save my bribe for something else
