    March Hang

Pending the dates...me and the girl would love to come on out. I have to say as far as an organized pot luck goes...that was the best I've been involved in. The cooler the weather is for me the better so if it needs to be earlier in March I'm cool with that

I really do need to mail off my HH to get my zipper mod done, just haven't gotten around too it. Oh and I want another larger tarp...just in case yanno.

I know I started this thread but I won't even be able to make the dates I threw out there. One of the bands I play drums for picked up a gig on March 11th. Maybe we can find another weekend to do a Texas Spring Hang.

This sounds really cool. I gave up hanging last year as I didnt really like the hennessy.. But Im up for another try at it. Anyone n the DFW area, I would like to discuss it.

Also I am basically carless, Ride a bike everywhere, but If I can do it, Id carpool with someone to the hang..

I'd love to hang with my Texas brethren again soon so I'll watch this thread and commit if the dates look good.

As previously noted, I am already commited for the 11-13 of March but would be available the following weekend or later in the spring once we get past all the spring break traffic. (But not too late in the spring since the Texas Rangers road to the 2011 World Series will be starting and weekend road trips to Arlington are high on our priority list.)

Speaking of dates, it's not too early to mark November 11-13, 2011 on the calendar for the 3rd annual Texas Fall Group Hang.

    Georgetown

Camp Tejas is on one end .... Walk in sites, nice pit toilet. No reserved sites, and we would need a few for hangers as some have limited trees.

Sawyer camp has four ways in, boat, a 1.5 mile shortcut, a 4.4 mile easy hike from camp Tejas, or a 7 mile hike in from Cedar Breaks. No improvements but a great view with lots of trees.

Cedar Breaks is a fully improved army Corp of engineers campground with toilets and showers .... Trees???

    Other thoughts?

I'll go ahead and mark my calendar for those dates! Fairfield again? Perhaps a different area? I shot myself in the foot over these March dates. I'm booked to play with a few bands the last 3 weeks of march now, but I'll set aside that weekend in November for sure.
