Greets from the Poconos

Hello, my name is Brian and I'm a complete cherry to this whole hammock thing. On a whim I tried a hammock on a canoe trip last summer and discovered that it was the best night of sleep that I've ever had in the woods. I've used it a few time since then and I am a TRUE BELIEVER.

My rig is a no-name nylon hammock with an Equinox tarp. I cut the ropes at either end of the hammock short and installed rings so's I can adjust my suspension. The tarp is a separate deal all together.

I'd like to graduate to a load bearing ridge line to maintain that plush, comfy sag and some those dutch-clip thingers. But, I have questions, lots of 'em. No worries, I'll search long and hard before I post any.

Among other things, I dig motorcycles ('cepting Harleys, but to each their own), bullet launchers, inventing, writing, backpacking, cycling, booze, and zombie theory.

Welcome to the world above the ground! I was raised in the Poconos, went to high school at Pococno Mountain Jointure in Swiftwater and lived in Tobyhanna. Most of my faimily still lives up there. I get back there three or four times a year.
