Whoopie Sling -Length with Marlin Spike Hitch

For my existing hammock, I am looking to add cinch buckles to the rig. I am also looking to make a gathered end hammock, and a DIY WBBB too. The question is, after reading several threads, and videos; I have noticed a common theme - marlin hitch with a whoopie sling. Although this process requires three pieces - tree strap, pin, and the whoopie sling, it sounds like a great approach.

So, what is the length of your whoopie string, and what was the length of the raw materials you started out with? I noticed Paul sells 25' sections of Amsteel, and will combine if you order more - Is 25' enough for two whoopies with a locked brummel for a larks head, and adjustment loop for the marlin hitch?

    Thanks,

    for my money,

25 ft. makes 2 whoopies, 6 ft max adjustment.

Thanks Knotty, as always - I will most likely take the 25' section and cut it in half and make two - should like a good approach.
