I have one on the way ( a Standard as well) and want to hear what folks have done with lines and rigging. I have a few ideas based on passed experiences, but I was wondering if other owners had specific ideas I could shamelessly make my own.

Hi Phil, My tarp at the FL hang was a MacCat Ultra (Spinn). I'll post a picture tonight. I cut the guy lines on one side twice as long as the other side. I had the long ones facing toward the lake which lifted up that edge for a view. The short ones were toward the north where the cold winds were coming from, and were staked near the hammock to create a wall of sorts.
I can stake the center guylines away from the hammock while staking the corner ones close in, giving a bit of wrap around effect. It affords some protection, but it's not doors.
I am planning to get a carbon fiber pole to go laterally across the hammock between the two center tie-outs, to form an arch so the living space is increased. I will sew pole pockets on those two tie-outs. The pole from Fibreplex weighs less than 3 oz and costs $50.

Thanks--I guess what i want to know about peculiarities. MAD's wrap around idea is an interesting way to work with the cat cuts. Will your pole plan do something that the tie outs wont already do? And what about cordage? I am leaning towards dyneema (weight ideas?) with some shock cord tied in for flex.

Shock cords or other tensioners are only requied for sylnylon, spinaker & cuben stay tight as a drum without.
For guylines, I use 1.75 Zing-it, not that the strength is neded, but it's light and handles easily. I keep my life simple by using Zing-it for everything, lol.
