    Teaser Time

I was going to post some picīs of my take on Turtlelady's stand. But now for the fifth day in a row - i can't upload picīs for some reason, so here's the story:

Realizing that i'm going to be homeless for 45 days - and going to be sleeping in a apartment where i can't put any hooks up, some of thee time(= Ground sleep = no sleep for 45 days) - or going to sleep in the woods for 45 days.....(which i would love)

As much as i would love 45 days in the woods, it's not practical when trying to run a business + i would miss my kids like crazy... so what to do? I need a solution fast!..... I need a stand.

Basically i used a discarded windsurf mast(cut down - and in half) and some metal(iron i think) curtain rods - so far with great success(i haven't been dropped on the ground so far....)

I'm going to supply more details later and picīs once my laptop starts cooperating but it'll take a while(i am in the middle of a business start up + i'm moving atm - so time is a limited commodity currently).

Edit: I still can't upload picīs to HF for some reason

But thanks Olddog, and go for it!

And i have now been dropped to the floor a result of sliding duct tape - time to break out the epoxy!

Good luck on the business adventure. Awaiting the pics, I'm planning a Turtlelady's soon.

You guys are amazing! Within 6 hours of starting this thread, I've got my very one TurtleLady set up in my backyard! I went to Lowe's and got six pieces of 2"2'8 lumber, one ten foot metal gate pole, and some paracord for $35. Two hours later, and I can FINALLY lounge in my ENO Doublenest without having to walk to the nearest park!

I'll post pics some time tomorrow! Thanks!

I would def. like to make a nicer-looking stand from dowels as many of you have done. Then maybe my girlfriend wouldn't mind if I brought it inside

Yeah, I am new to steampunk as well and haven't come up with a way to do it and make it look good at the same time. Any suggestions?
