No, because I was rushing it.
No time to fix it now. I may try to fix it or convert it next week. If the weather was going to be better this weekend, I might take it with me to the campout and work on it there.
I decided to make my "turtle" stand all bamboo with a piece of PVC pipe as a sturdy sleeve holding the 2 pieces of the bamboo top bar together in the middle...local free bamboo, free leftover chunk of pipe, leftover camo rope...enjoyment factor priceless!!!
