Well, last night I made my first DIY hammock and tested it out about an hour ago. It's great! A little short for me but I made it for the wife. I was still very comfortable in it. In fact I would use it any time! I bet it will be perfect for her. I used a soldering iron & metal straight edge to trim to size and it worked great. I just want to give a big Thank You to everyone here! The info and videos are a tremendously valuable resource that makes hammocks an exciting, simple, and fun process for a newb like me to learn! I've just gotten started and I'm already splicing rope, making hammocks, and dialing in the suspension. Thanks to Hammock Forums!
