What would I do? I would give it the chop chop. Get the down out of it and make a winter UQ, a summer UQ, and a TQ. I am problably not the best to answer your question as to the fact that I need all of the above.

    another option....
Look at a Western Mountaineering Ponderosa....it has two zippers.
In the early days of my hanging it served as a pod. The foot box zipper allows one suspension line to go to a tree....the other simply went to a tree.
I think with the Ponderosa and surely with your bag you'd have 8 inches of loft surrounding you.
So you could have someone with sewing skills add the foot box zipper. and probably will have to replace the existing zipper.
It's not exactly a peapod, it is open at the top but will cinch down around the neck, head in a balaclava and a very small pad under the head will do the trick.
I think JustJeff has(d) pictures of the Ponderosa set up at his site and they used to be in the gallery at WB. After sleeping in this set up I would not take it out unless I felt the temps were going to be 20 or less. I think the Ponderosa was rated at 15F,,,yours will take you far lower. I did use a Speer 8.5 hammock and one night when it was going to be around 0-5F I also put a ccf pad in the hammock.
I bet it would work with a Traveler but have never tried.
Just looked, JustJeff still has the pics:

Why don't people wet the down & work with it like that? Seems like it'd make things much neater.

    A) it takes forever to dry again and is clumpy
    B) difficult to measure out equal portions
    C) clings to everything; hands, fabric, tools, walls, cat....YMMV
