I have recently changed to whoopie slings on my Hennessey but for years I have been using figure 9's. They work great with the stock cord and are quick and easy to use.

No need to feel foolish for following Hennessy's directions printed right on the stuff sack. Maybe somebody should instruct Hennessy on how to properly hang his hammock?? And redo the printed directions??

What i like about the truckers hitches is the option to highten the slack. Thats really why i chose them. So, from what you guys are saying, i should just go back to the standars HH hitch?

    The standard HH hitch works.

But if you like the trucker's hitch, use it. HYOH as we say here. I was just warning against over-tightening the rig using the TH mechanical advantage.
