    Just a question about the water in the desert? How did you manage this one? Here in spain there are problems and a couple times i've had to go on a stretch starting out with 4 litres on my back!

    Great report, great photos and sounds like you found inspiration on this one - he walked into the desert...wait a minute...is he jesus??

    We had some concerns on the first stretch, but there had been a recent snowfall in the mountains and the water supplies were adequate. We talked to a couple on the way in who had cached water on their way in. That seems like a sensible alternative, if you have the opportunity to stash some water within a reasonable walking distance from camp. You may have to backtrack, but at least on a round trip, you know you have water on the way out!
