Bat I met a lot of thru hikers in the NY area Mid June. If you get to NY by June/July make a shout out to me I'll try to accompany you for a bit.

I won't likely make it out of Texas to see you on the trail but I'll enjoy the trip vicariuosly through your entries here and on Trailjournals. All the best.

UncleMJM thanks for the vicarious support. I hope you enjoy following along. So far on Trailjournals I've been very serious but that isn't my usual style so stay tuned for the real Bat style posts.

I'll PM you my number and I'd be more then happy to bring you some resupply, trail treats and even hike for a bit with ya. I know it can be difficult to meet up on the AT because hikers mileage varies but id be more then happy to support in any way I can if were by each other. Another forum member Silentmorphious is hopefully going to be joining me for part of the time as well.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

My goal is to finish Pa this year (roughly 130 miles). I have hiked as far north as Pa 325 (Clark Valley) and hope to make it to the NJ line over two or three section hikes. My first trip is planned for mid March over four days to Port Clinton. If my knees are feeling alright in Port Clinton I will just press on three more days to Little Gap Rd (Danielsville, Pa). If rocks are too much for my knees I will pick up where I left off and cover the section to Little Gap Rd (Danielsville, Pa) over three days in late June. I plan on getting out and finishing the last section in mid to late October. Doesn’t sound like we will be in the same place at the same time, but if you need a ride off the trail or back to it in southern Pa and we can make the logistics out I would be glad to help out. Just send me a PM.
Good Luck On Your Thru Hike,
    Gris

I'll be around the NC - VA line doing sections and might try to knock out the Smokies in late Sept. I'm sad because I've done all of the purdy spots!
