Put in my order last night for an all black mega ogee tarp..
If you listen very carefully you can hear " ogee wan kenobi's " (Randy) magic sewing machine going to work as we speak..... Can't wait!!! Much thanx to Gargoyle gear and all your patience..

Warmer in the sun wouldn't be a bad thing on a cold day..
This is going to be for mostly stealth setups, wooded-hunting scenario,so the sun isn't a worry factor at all.. Only worries I might have is actually finding it when coming back to camp.... activate ninja mode....

don't get hung up on black being hot in the sun.

1. you sleep mostly in the dark
2. in the summer, when it is hot, is the greatest amount of folliage from the trees above you, providing the greatest amount of shade

enjoy that tarp. i think my next tarp will be from mr gargoyle...

Black will dry faster, Black will warm some in the cooler temps, helps melt off the frost.
My tarp is normally hung below two trees, , which means "shade".

Black means less sun in the morning for sleeping in.
