For me, it depends on which hammock I'm using. Bridge, I go level. Gathered end, I go feet just a smidge higher than my head.

I like the foot end higher than the head end. I setup with the foot end lower and slid in to the end of the hammock. That is when I realized that the slope of the ground slightly went down that way and what I thought was going to be level was not.

I like to just put it up roughly level. If one side ends up a bit higher than the other I will put my feet on that side. In general, though, I don't think it has a big effect on my comfort.

I think worrying about actually leveling it is more trouble than it's worth for me and I enjoy myself more if I just throw it up (I work construction and have to worry about leveling enough things already).

Foot end higher for the reasons previously stated. It also seems to be more comfortable that way.

My eye hooks are level. I wear a soft cotton tea with full length cotton pants so I'm sliding around in the hammock till I reach 'level', whatever that is. My head is above my pelvis which helps with the acid reflux thing. Don't know if my snoring has decreased, should run a mic and see.

Foot end higher, but I've found the longer the hammock the less I have to raise the end.

The right side or the left side, depending on which side my feet are on.
